Information Literacy Toolkit: Web Source Analysis

Students select and analyze web sources uses the S.I.F.T. method.  

• Instruction about the S.I.F.T. method is useful before the Web Source Analysis assignment.  Use the Identify & Challenge Disinformation library guide or the full S.I.F.T. tutorial created by Mike Caulfield. 
• Students may assess a website of their choosing, or they can select from a short list of sources provided by the instructor. 
• Web Source Analysis can be used as a standalone assignment and as one step in a research project scaffolded over the term.
