PSU Library Catalog - Streaming Films & Music

Finding Videos (DVD, Streaming, VHS, etc.) at PSU Library

PSU Library has a wide variety of feature films, documentaries, television shows and more available in multiple formats. Unfortunately, all our physical film content is housed in the reserves area behind the circulation desk, so it's only browsable via our online catalog.

Here's a step by step guide to finding films in our catalog:

  1. Go to Portland State University Library Advanced Search
  2. Select SHOW ONLY: Articles, Books and More dropdown menu and select PSU Libraries (it's fine to skip this step, but it will show you DVD/VHS holdings from other libraries, which we can get for you, but they will be offsite and will take a few days to arrive).

3. Type your topic in the search box. Notice the Resource Type filter on the left Refine Results list. Here you can choose between (in this case) eVideo (streaming), DVD/Blu-ray Videos, and DVD Videos.

4. The items in your results list will have an icon and a heading (EVIDEO, DVD, etc.) you will also see the linked location below the title information. This will tell you whether you can access the film online or will give you the call number. For DVDs or VHS, you'll need this call number to give to the staff member at the circulation desk on the first floor so they can retrieve the film for you to check out.
