The three commonly used citation styles have guidance on citing tools like Gemini and ChatGPT. If you are using a citation style other than APA, MLA, or Chicago and lack guidance from your course professor or discipline, use the citation style that most closely aligns with the style you use. 

The citation format  for your research paper depends on what is required by your professor. Know the requirements before you begin constructing your bibliography and end notes.

APA style is used in the social science disciplines such as psychology, sociology, and anthropology. The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association  is not available online, although some supplementary information is available at the APA's website.  Print copies are available at the Reference Desk at the PSU Library.
