Environmental Science and Management: Citing Sources
Guide for Library Research in Environmental Science and Management
Choosing a Citation Style
Choosing a style for your research project depends on a couple of things. First of all, check with your instructor to see what style they prefer. Also know that different disciplines often use a specific style, e.g., psychology often uses APA, the humanities use MLA, and biology uses CSE.

Citation Management Tools
With these tools you can collect book and article citations from the library catalog and databases. Then using a plugin for MS Word, you can insert those citations into your paper in the appropriate format.
See the library guide, Manage Citations with Zotero, Mendeley, and EndNote, on how to use these tools. The Library provides workshops and support for Zotero.
