Biology: Find Books

Results include both print books and ebooks, available from Portland State Library and other libraries.

While the Portland State Library has a large collection of books, articles, and journals, we may not have a specific item you are looking for. In that case, you may be able to get it for you from another library.

Search the PSU Library catalog for books. When you find a pertinent book with a green Available at PSU Library shelves link, select it or the title link for the full record. Write down the location and call number. To locate the call number on a floor map, select the link, View Map. Check out the book at the 1st floor Circulation Desk.

Find books on your topic by using a keyword search to find relevant subject headings. For example, search the keyword, Sustainability, in the PSU Library catalog. Under the details for the book entitled, Sustainability, the subject headings lead to other relevant books on this topic. The Subject links in the left-hand column provide pertinent results too.

The Library's print collection is arranged by subject areas, similar to a bookstore. You can use relevant call number ranges for your subject areas to browse the library shelves for information on your topic. The call numbers listed below focus on subjects that may be of interest to biology researchers.
