Child, Youth, & Family Studies: Search Google Scholar

Google Scholar

What makes Google Scholar different? When you search in Google Scholar you are searching across journal publisher websites, university websites, Google Books, and professional organization websites. This means you get many more results when you search. Also Google Scholar doesn't have a way of filtering just for research articles, so pay careful attention to your results.

Search for "Cited by" Articles

One very useful way of using Google Scholar is to see the citation list of articles that have cited a specific article. The "cited bys" are newer research on similar topics. Go to Google Scholar and search by article title, then click on the "Cited by..." link under the entry to view the articles, books, and reports that have cited this article since it was published.
