For your project you will be choosing between using APA and MLA styles for citing your work. Once you pick a style, make sure you stick with it! There are not definitive lines about which style should be used. APA is often used in the social science disciplines such as psychology, sociology, and anthropology. MLA is often used in writing courses as well as the humanities disciplines such as English and comparative literature. These are not the only styles out there, but are two of the most commonly used styles.
