- Atlas of historical county boundariesPresents maps, text, and data about the creation and all subsequent changes (dated to the day) in the size, shape, and location of every U.S. county in the 50 states as well as the District of Columbia.
- Historical Topo Map SearchUse this search to look for historical maps. You can also use the Map Locator in the USGS online Store to locate full time series by place, address, or map extent.
- US Forest Service TopoThis site offers digital vector representations of the features typically found on a 1:24,000 quadrangle map. - OnTheMapWhat is OnTheMap?
OnTheMap Version 6 is the sixth generation of OnTheMap, a web-based mapping and reporting application that shows where workers are employed and where they live. It also provides companion reports on age, earnings, industry distributions, race, ethnicity, educational attainment, and sex. Race, Ethnicity, Educational Attainment, Sex, Firm Age, and Firm Size variables are made available in OnTheMap through a beta release of data.
OnTheMap provides an easy-to-use interface for creating, viewing, printing and downloading workforce related maps, profiles, and underlying data. Based on 2002-2014 LEHD Origin Destination Employment Statistics (LODES), OnTheMap is a unique resource for mapping the travel patterns of workers and identifying small-area workforce characteristics.

- Google MapsAccess to maps as well as hybrid and satellite images. International coverage.

- MapQuestInteractive maps for addresses and areas in the United States. Includes directions for drivers. International locations are also available.

The collection also covers many areas that most people may not realize were once a part of early Coast Survey history. As the first federal scientific agency, the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey produced land sketches, Civil War battle maps, and aeronautical charting from the 1930 through the 1970s.
