What is SBRnet?

What is SBRnet?

A premier library database on the sporting goods and sports marketing industry. Covers data on sports participation and demographic characteristics, sporting goods expenditures and market size, company and brand shares, logo apparels, team sports, fan profiles and technology use, venues and facilities, sports business news, and directories of sports organizations.

Who provids the data?

Most of SBRnet’s data are licensed from various partners, such as the National Sporting Goods Association, Dept of Commerce, sports organizations, and industry publishers. Sometimes SBRnet sponsors and finances their own surveys (e.g., data on the sports fan market).

How current are the data?

Depends on the source. Data can be current or a few years behind, some data are many years behind due to the lack of information from the source.

  • SBRnet: Sport Business Research Network

Provides coverage of market segmentation for sporting goods, sports e-commerce, sports marketing, sports sponsorship, and sports facilities as well as articles on sports broadcasting and social media.
